-Assistant Company Director:

Show Tyme Academy, a blossoming performing arts studio based in Missoula, is seeking qualified applicants to fill their Assistant Dance Company Director position and become a part of a nationally recognized performing arts family in the beautiful Big Sky! 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from a recognized, accredited college or university;

• Extensive knowledge in contemporary/modern and ballet technique;

• Strong communication skills;

• Demonstrates skills in supporting, motivating, and cooperating with students, parents, teachers, and administrators;

• Knowledge/experience of national dance convention/competition rules & guidelines;

• Must demonstrate ability to develop varying styles of successful dance choreography;

• Minimum of three (3) years successful teaching AND/OR performing experience in dance.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Qualified applicant will aid Artistic Director in the running of Show Tyme Dance Company; running and cleaning established performance pieces, choreographing/developing new dance pieces. Applicant will be lead instructor for advanced dance classes in various disciplines. Part time position. Exact hours TBD, based on candidate. Must be willing to travel nationally 2-3x per year.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Probationary period of 120 days (September 2019-December 2019), which, after successfully completing, will result in a yearly contract.

COMPENSATION:

Hourly, negotiable based on qualifications and experience.

-Advanced Contemporary/Modern Instructor:

Show Tyme Academy, a blossoming performing arts studio based in Missoula, is seeking qualified applicants to fill their Advanced Contemporary/Modern Instructor position and become a part of an nationally recognized performing arts family in the beautiful Big Sky! 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from a recognized, accredited college or university;

• Extensive knowledge in contemporary/modern technique. Knowledge of other disciplines a plus;

• Strong communication skills;

• Demonstrates skills in supporting, motivating, and cooperating with students, parents, teachers, and administrators;

• Must demonstrate ability to develop varying styles of successful dance choreography;

• Minimum of three (3) years successful teaching AND/OR performing experience in dance.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Qualified applicant will teach and choreograph multiple contemporary/modern dance classes with students aged 12 years and older. Applicant will also lead a composition class with advanced dancers. Other responsibilities and choreography/subbing opportunities, as needed. Part time position. Exact hours TBD, based on candidate.
